Bubbles Popped: none

Four games worth mentioning:

Seton Hall 63, Mercer 47
The Pirates come into the season with expectations of making the field of 68.  Knocking off last year's upset flavor of the week is a good start.  Mercer should compile a solid conference record, and this win is the first brick of what will need to be a few more for a solid resume foundation for The Hall.

Massachusetts 71, Boston College 62
For my money, The Atlantic Ten is consistently the most underrated conference in college basketball.  UMass is at a point where this win is nothing to brag about, they expect to beat B.C.  The Eagles on the other hand are likely looking at long season.  They get to play a grossly underrated New Mexico in Puerto Rico on Thursday.

Holy Cross 58, Harvard 57
Harvard will likely be dismissed by many and is unlikely to find their way back into the AP Top 25 after this loss.  Writing them off is a mistake.  The lesson in this game is not that Harvard was overrated, it's that Holy Cross should be the clear favorites to win a Patriot League that is posting some decent results early on.

George Washington 70, Rutgers 53
The RAC genuinely can be a tough place to play.  The RPI doesn't take into account attendance, which is good for the Colonials, as I very much doubt the students were out in force for this one.  The Atlantic Ten picks up wins over the Big Ten and the ACC in the same night, not bad for a "mid-major."
