Popped Bubbles: 3
SUNY Binghamton (1-4), American East
The American East conference simply will over Binghamton the opportunity to over come five losses and still earn an at-large bid.
Lehigh (0-4), Patriot League
Lehigh does not have any remaining potential quality wins on the non-conference schedule, and even a perfect run through the Patriot League regular season would not be enough.
Presbyterian (1-4), Big South
The remaining schedule does not offer enough to merit at-large consideration at this point.
Four results worth mentioning:
Providence 75, Notre Dame 74
In the championship game of some tournament in Connecticut that you probably don't care about, a battle of 4-0 teams saw the Friars knock of the Irish in a game that came down to the wire. LaDontae Henton scored 38 points and sandwiched what looked like a game winning three, and game winning free throws around Jerrian Grant play for the Irish that also looked like it would be the game winner. Expect to see both these teams in March.
Yale 66, Kent State 56
Yale improved to 4-1 knocking off previously unbeaten Kent State. Neither one of these teams can be considered a serious threat to steal an at-large at this point, but both should be factors in their respective conference races.
Texas A&M CC 60, St. Louis 56
One of the stranger results of the season so far. This is the kind of loss that will follow a team all year, unless Tex A&M CC runs off 25+ wins.
Eastern Michigan 79, Longwood 48
The Jim Boeheim zone has the Eagles off to a 5-0 start in Ypsi. They've yet to leave home, but at this point, it's safe to call EMU the favorites to win the MAC.
