Bubbles popped:4

Bryant (1-4), Northeast Conference
Five loses and zero quality wins isn't going to get anyone a look out of the Northeast.

LIU-Brooklyn (0-5), Northeast Conference
No quality non-conference opponents remain for Brooklyn.

Northern Arizona (2-6), Big Sky
The Lumber Jacks are a solid program that usually fields pretty good teams.  This year appears to be an exception.

SIU-Edwardsville (1-4), Ohio Valley
Even if they sweep remaining games at CMU and at St. Louis, they'll be off the board with five loses.

Four results worth mentioning:

Notre Dame 79, Michigan State 78 OT
The Irish overcame some goofy calls late in regulation and improved to 7-1 with a win over MSU.  MSU does not appear to be very good, but will remain in the Top 25 on Izzo's reputation alone.

Iowa 60, North Carolina 55
A Hawkeyes team that looked less than impressive in Madison Square Garden in loses to Texas and Syracuse, went into Chapel Hill and beat UNC.  Vitale was in full homer mode, and had to be loud enough to potentially effect the Hawkeyes who were well within earshot.  They somehow blocked out his gibberish and came out with the "W."  UNC once again appears to have been wildly overrated in the preseason polls.

Tulsa 77, Creighton 64
Tulsa had looked shaky coming into this game, but clearly put it all together and dispatched the Blue Jays with relative ease.

Colorado State 65, UTEP 62
This nice win that adds a little vindication to CSU's unblemished record.  The Rams have the look of an NCAA Team and the Mt. West is shaping up to be at least a three bid league.
